Not really a new style for me... I do draw a lot of scenery and landscapes, though this one is kind of special with all the details I put in it. I may have surpass myself... I do put a lot of details in my drawing: for the textures, the shadows and light... Well anyway, first time I did every little blade of grass. Not the first for the bricks, but for the grass, yes.

The perspective may look strange, but that too is something I wanted to try. The backside of a country house, with the quay a little side way, out of perspective and the sun "behind" the scene. Kind of proud of the result, though I'm sure it could have been better.

Overall, it took me about one week to do it... well... theoretically. In practice, around 4 months: studies and work don't let me to draw all day long... Anyway, it was made in my art book, in a 8½''x11'' sheet with lead pencils (4H, HB and 2B). Finished today, at sunset in the solarium. Kind of inspiring.

"Vieille Utopie" means "Old Utopia", for an old country house, built in a almost forgotten time. One time, I could almost see the children running out from the house to the farm.
